Keeping camp life a game

Why Tamarack keeps the 19+ rule on free reels

Social casino games borrow the look, sound and pace of real gambling. Sawdust Ridge Camp is meant only for adults over the legal gambling age and is not aimed at anyone under 19. Age is checked twice: once on the banner that meets you, and again with a tick you must make when you create your account.

Lines the camp will not cross

• Running or promoting real-money gambling of any sort.
• Putting up prizes worth anything in the real world.
• Selling camp coins, or slipping in in-app purchases.
• Pointing you to gambling operators or their affiliates.
• Countdowns or streaks that push you to come back.

A straight word from the camp foreman

A free game can be tuned to feel generous, and it tops your balance up for nothing. Real-money games do neither. A good run here tells you nothing about how you would fare with money on the line.

Signs to watch for in yourself

• Staying at the reels long past the time you set.
• Getting short-tempered when you stop.
• Spinning to get out from under a bad mood.
• It is cutting into your sleep, your work or your people.
• You go looking for a version that takes real money.

Staying camp boss of your own time

• Before the first spin, settle when you will stop.
• Leave autoplay switched off at the mill.
• Step out for fresh air at regular breaks.
• Wiping this site’s data resets the lot; blocking the site in your device settings stops it for good.
